Daventry continued their recent good form with a home victory over play off contenders Sporting Khalsa culminating in a 3-1 win.
The purple Army took the lead on 11 minutes when Nat Gosnal-Tyler went through one on one with the goalkeeper before firing home from the edge of the box. The second goal was scored on the half hour mark when Gosnal-Tyler again was played through, his shot saved before falling to striker Tom Lorraine who slotted home.
There was a scare for Daventry at the start of the second half when Khalsa started brightly and got a goal back via Gurjit Singh.
Daventry’s 2 goal lead was soon restored via Jack Bowen who beat the goalkeeper from close range to make it 3 to finish the afternoon’s scoring.
Results elsewhere mean Daventry move further clear of the relegation zone completing a good day all round!
