Daventry Town showed their courage in the home meeting against Deeping Rangers last season, as we claimed four points against the resilient Cambridgeshire outfit .
Gregory Anayiotos’ lashed Town in front after 10 minutes at Elderstubbs but Rangers remained in contention with an equaliser before the final 20 minutes, when Scott Copland struck before Kieran Fitzpartick’s winner in injury time, in a 2-1 victory for the men in purple.
Here’s everything you need to know about our opponents on Saturday afternoon…
One To Watch
Picking out one player from Rangers’ array of talent is a tough task but Scott Mooney should certainly be afforded attention after scoring 29 goals in all competitions last season. The 29-year-old scored with 14 goals in 28 league games this time around.
Mooney burst onto the scene at Holwell Sports in the 2007/08 campaign and came to sign for Oldham Athletic before joining Hyde United two seasons later. He joined Corby Town and Stamford before moving to Rangers in the summer of 2015 and has since made 195 appearances for the current promotion chasers.

Deeping Rangers’ Form
Rangers have claimed back-to-back Premier Division top 5 places, and are well-placed to achieve that feat after a scintillating start to the campaign that had seen them go unbeaten in their opening six games in all competitions.
Their last seven of their league matches have ended in six victories with 15 goals scored and just seven conceded.
The one blemish came in their last Premier Division game, where Rugby claimed a shock 0-3 win in Deeping, which lost them their second spot. The defeat created an 8 point gap between Town in top spot.
