Taylor Orosz was suspended for top of the table clash whilst Adam Confue was also unavailable. Tom McGowan and Taylor’s brother Jordan Orosz returned to the starting line along with Luke Emery who served his one match ban during the 1 0 win at Rothwell Corinthians last week. Adam Creaney who had recently filled in as full back returned to his normal attacking position.
For the Knights, new signing from Holbeach United Stacy Cartwright and midfielders Andrew Tidswell and Chris Shipley all returned as they defended their year long unbeaten run since Olney Town .
Pinchbeck had only conceded 5 goals in 8 league matches whilst Town were the league’s top scorers with 24 in 9 games.
It was t shirt weather and the pitch looked in perfect condition as the teams took the field.
Town had the first chance of a cagy opening with the Jordan Orosz pace taking it through the defence but Ricky Lovelace blocked the effort with his legs. The ball broke free and following a mass appeal from the visitors Jordan Orosz was cautioned for a foul.
The Knight’s first chance came on 19 minutes when a shot struck Oli Maltby just 6 yards out but Cerga was down quickly to save.
From Cerga’s clearance, Town took the lead. Luke Wilson’s under hit back pass was intercepted by JORDAN OROSZ and he rounded the stranded keeper to put Town in front.
Just 7 minutes later and Town were awarded a penalty. Luke Emery held the ball up well on the left side of the box and as he turned. Lee Beeson brought him down and the ref pointed to the spot. ADAM CREANEY made no mistake from the spot.
Luke Emery used his strength to shrug off his marker and nearly made it three just moments later but his shot went across the front of goal just in front of Adam Creaney.
Luke Emery went into the book for an innocuous challenge on Cartwright with Pinchbeck player’s surrounding the referee demanding a caution at the very least.
Tom McGowan picked up Town’s third caution of the match shortly before halftime after a heavy challenge. Andrew Tidswell was also cautioned for berating the referee for not issuing a red card. The player demonstrating to the referee by constantly straightening his leg out in an aggressive manner at least a dozen times.
Knight’s Player Manager Ian Dunn picked up a caution for a foul on Iustin Cerga as the keeper saw the ball out for a goal kick. The caution was issued with out any histrionics from Town’s players
This continued after the referee blew for half time. To the amusement of the player himself, the high spirited Town fans repeated the “Tidswell” dance on the balcony as the player left the field.

It took some great defending by Ross Harris as a ball over the top was hooked clear as Dunn looked through on goal.
Isutin Cerga made an excellent stop in the 55 minute going down to his right and pushing a Maltby drive around the post
Ian Dunn was given a straight red card for swinging an elbow into Ross Harris’s nose shortly after. Dunn denied any intent after the match but it certainly didn’t appear that way.
JORDAN OROSZ scored his second and Town’s third after a run across the edge of the box before firing home the ball into the far corner of the net on 68.
2 minutes later and the Pinchbeck unbeaten run was in tatters as KIERAN FITZGERALD turned swiftly on the edge of the 6 yard box to get Town fourth goal after good work from Luke Emery again.
It was all Town after this as they camped in the Pinchbeck box.
The fifth goal came after an Adam Creaney corner was met by the head of Tommy McGowan on 76 minutes.
The goal of the match was scored in the 86th minute when Jake Dumbleton found the unmarked PHIL CASSIDY on the edge of the box. Not realising he had no one near him, he coolly hit the ball on the volley and ball flew into the corner of the net.
Dumbleton almost snatched a seventh however his shot came crashing back off the crossbar.

Town now travel to Oadby Town next week before facing Newport Pagnell in a rearranged fixture on Tuesday 6th November at home, one week after playing them away in the Kitman League Cup.
