About Daventry Town FC
Since forming in 1886 Daventry Town Football Club has had an exciting history over its 134 years, with many thrills and a few spills thrown in for good measure. What has remained strong through-out the years is the care and passion we have about the town, our football and the crucial part we play in the community.
We are extremely proud to train and manage 20 junior teams from under 7s to under 18s, as well as our teeny towns session for under 6s on a Saturday morning. Currently, we’re bringing hundreds of children and families into the club on a weekly basis. Our junior teams are very successful and the children thrive in the sporting environment we are able to facilitate for them whilst they develop their own individual strengths.
As part of our “One club for the community” message, we offer a clear pathway from the juniors through to our reserve side to first team.
Via a strong and growing social media presence via Facebook and Twitter, we actively partner with the biggest social media groups within the town to promote events and club news. As of March 2020 Daventry Town had the biggest number of followers of any of the sporting clubs within the Daventry District.
The club also boasts excellent and inclusive facilities with its modern club house and catering service it is able to offer. This enables local families to hold parties and functions at the club across all ages, and has become the corporate venue of choice for many businesses in Daventry to host their meetings, seminars and exhibitions. We also organise many of our own community events, including a music festival, football tournaments, comedy and band nights, as well as being a popular venue for wedding receptions.
As an area, the Daventry and Northamptonshire district is booming. Investors are coming to the area and there is a rapidly growing business environment thriving throughout the town with whom we would love to partner with.
